In your Senior Mechanical Engineer role, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.
Summary of Position:
Provides technical leadership to technologies used across the Personal Care processes, and at all stages of the product life cycle, from emerging technology assessment to optimizing cost and reliability of existing equipment. These technologies allow the business to provide the highest quality products at the lowest total delivered cost that meet our consumer needs today and in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as subject matter expert in Cutting and Bonding technologies
- Provides prioritization and day-to-day work direction to 3-5 engineers working on these technologies
- Delivers technical and non-technical coaching to team members, as needed
- Helps to develop the strategic plan for the technologies for the year
- Completes technical problem solving to support manufacturing sites and project teams
- Explores emerging technologies in this area
- Provides general mechanical engineering support to the team when needed
Influence:
This role will interact with team members supporting the technologies, project teams, procurement, and vendors. Working with Procurement and the Technical Leader for the team, this person will also influence the technology strategy for these types of equipment. On an annual basis, this person will share new developments in the technologies with R&E leaders.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline. Would consider Associate’s degree with substantial and relevant engineering experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience
- Demonstrated success in problem-solving and experience leading teams through problem solving activities
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred:
- Experience with cutting and bonding (thermal, pressure, ultrasonic) technologies
- Project leadership experience
