Responsible for supporting the cost accounting processes of the company, with a focus on support for the Logistics Supply Chain function. This role will include month-end journal entries, maintenance of standard costs related to Logistics, production of periodic financial reports and ad-hoc analyses to evaluate logistics performance for Cabinetworks Group. This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Ann Arbor. We are excited to be moving to our new home in Livonia summer of 2023!
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare month-end journal entries in compliance with critical reporting deadlines.
  • Compile manufacturing cost and transactional reports to support analysis and decisions by finance, supply chain or manufacturing leadership.
  • Provide supporting analysis for manufacturing costs associated with Logistics cost function.
  • Consolidate logistics transaction and financial data from multiple divisions within Cabinetworks Group to provide visibility of logistics spend across various transportation modes.
  • Coordinate with Logistics team to provide financial analysis for new business quotes/opportunities.
  • Develop annual standard costs for inbound freight.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent business experience
  • Prior 2 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience or equivalent logistics experience.
  • Knowledge and application of basic accounting procedures and cost accounting processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Access.
  • Ability to function at an elevated level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence, and initiative without daily interaction with management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Experience with ODBCs, SQL and Visual Basic.
  • Prior Oracle ERP experience.
