The Work Itself
- Responsible for the development of test scripts and test methodology in support of test procedures and regulatory requirements applicable to the business line.
- Execute predefined testing techniques to a sample of data, controls, events or transactions and captures results for communication to interested parties (compliance, line of business, auditors, examiners)
- Partner with compliance staff on the identification of business line compliance controls and lead the execution of testing compliance risks and controls with pre-defined testing techniques.
- Lead discussions with support partners and business unit management to communicate the compliance testing scope, objective and associated regulatory risk identified.
- Prepare test workpapers, report and if applicable, the Issue Rating Matrix and Compliance Corrective Action Form.
- Upload test workpaper, supporting documentation and final report as required and update all appropriate reporting systems.
- Participate in timely responses to regulatory exams and internal audits.
- Assist in preparation of Compliance related management reports and identify data execution needs for testing, as applicable.
- Train / mentor compliance staff in areas of subject matter expertise.
- Keep abreast of relevant changes in laws, rules or regulations that impact the financial services industry.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelors’ degree in business or a related major preferred.
- +3 compliance or auditing / testing experience including documenting test results and workpapers and communicating test results (Archer preferred)
- +3 years of compliance experience, with emphasis on consumer regulations including a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory requirements (Mortgage, Lending, Insurance, Auto)
- Ability to interpret and understand laws and regulations, research and identify requirements and related controls and assist in developing transaction test scripts.
- Successful candidates must demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a desire to perform in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to learn new processes, systems and controls quickly with minimal training, adding value quickly.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment
- Must be willing to travel on a limited basis.
