The Opportunity

The Senior Analyst, Compliance Testing will support in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Compliance Testing Program that includes testing and reporting in accordance with regulatory expectations. This position will focus on testing for the Mortgage and Ally Lending but may include additional business lines as assigned. This position will require analysis of moderate to complex regulations, business processes, procedures and controls for execution of testing techniques as assigned.

The Work Itself

  • Responsible for the development of test scripts and test methodology in support of test procedures and regulatory requirements applicable to the business line.
  • Execute predefined testing techniques to a sample of data, controls, events or transactions and captures results for communication to interested parties (compliance, line of business, auditors, examiners)
  • Partner with compliance staff on the identification of business line compliance controls and lead the execution of testing compliance risks and controls with pre-defined testing techniques.
  • Lead discussions with support partners and business unit management to communicate the compliance testing scope, objective and associated regulatory risk identified.
  • Prepare test workpapers, report and if applicable, the Issue Rating Matrix and Compliance Corrective Action Form.
  • Upload test workpaper, supporting documentation and final report as required and update all appropriate reporting systems.
  • Participate in timely responses to regulatory exams and internal audits.
  • Assist in preparation of Compliance related management reports and identify data execution needs for testing, as applicable.
  • Train / mentor compliance staff in areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Keep abreast of relevant changes in laws, rules or regulations that impact the financial services industry.

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelors’ degree in business or a related major preferred.
  • +3 compliance or auditing / testing experience including documenting test results and workpapers and communicating test results (Archer preferred)
  • +3 years of compliance experience, with emphasis on consumer regulations including a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory requirements (Mortgage, Lending, Insurance, Auto)
  • Ability to interpret and understand laws and regulations, research and identify requirements and related controls and assist in developing transaction test scripts.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a desire to perform in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to learn new processes, systems and controls quickly with minimal training, adding value quickly.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment
  • Must be willing to travel on a limited basis.
