We are currently searching for a Sr. CADD Technician to support our Mid Atlantic Region assigned to the Springfield, VA office.

What you’ll be doing:

• 
  Provide assistance to engineers using MicroStation to create bridge detail plans and perform minor design work on bridge projects
• Provide assistance to engineers using MicroStation/Autocad Civil 3D to create roadway plan sets and perform minor design work on roadway projects
• Contribute to project production sheets by adding dimensions and laying out plans, title and detail sheets on production sets of plans
• Prepare minor mathematical calculations and quantity calculations for roadway/bridge projects
• Work with engineers to develop 3D models using both Open Road Designer and Open Bridge Designer
• Research applicable design codes and guidelines to ensure design compliance
• Research design options and documents findings
• Coordinates assignments with project team and supervisor
• Perform quality control reviews of design plans and calculations
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Be a team player and assist other groups as needed

What you need to have:

• 
  Associate degree from a technical or four-year school
• 10+ years of prior experience with structural and/or roadway drafting
• Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar field is preferred
• Familiar with GEOPAK or other geometry software
• Familiar with VDOT Bridge Detailing Manual and applicable bridge standards preferred
• Experience in Open Road Designer is preferred
• Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
