JOB SUMMARY:

JOB SUMMARY:

The business systems analyst works alongside the operating teams to solve problems in the manufacturing systems and implement continuous improvement activities. This is a dynamic role that has exposure to all business lines and IT related projects, creating a varied and exciting work environment as the analyst will be challenged to solve complex, business important issues within the operation. You will be a self-managed person who is looking to develop their skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Help solve technical issues within the ERP system, pertaining to MRP, logistics, EDI and finance
  • Develop custom solutions to manufacturing issues by incorporating in-house developed and third-party solutions
  • Develop, document, and deploy advanced reporting functionalities across business lines
  • Produce documentation of systems including flow charts and issue resolutions
  • Work with the local Business Systems Manager and Business Systems Analysts in affiliated companies, including international affiliates, to coordinate solutions between locations.
  • Manage multiple system environments such as (Development, Test, and Production)
  • Support improvements in overall system reliability, configuration, license and configuring databases for global multi-site implementation.
  • Understand and document current business processes and lead analysis into the definition of the future state, including both system and people change.
  • Analyze, document, and validate existing processes and map proposed process models with impact of change demonstrated.
  • Manage addition and deletion of new users, groups, roles, securities – for TeamCenter, Workfront and Syspro
  • Write user help guides.
  • Develop relationships with software vendors and users both at the local site and international sites.
  • Cross train with other business analysts to share responsibilities and act as a mentor.



To succeed, you will need

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting ERP software in a manufacturing environment. Including performing upgrades or new ERP implementations.
  • An understanding of business processes, from a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting systems implementation projects, seeing through at least one full application implementation lifecycle.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the function of and transaction processing in SQL
  • Experience identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Document business requirements to create a solution design and action plans.
  • Design and administer training to end-users.
  • Experience dealing with external third-party application vendors.
  • Experience cultural awareness while collaborating with your peers in the other regions.
  • Knowledge of value and use of Standard IT processes and methodologies (i.e. ITIL, PMI and SDLC).
  • 5+ years of experience Microsoft Office and expanded product lines (Visio, Power BI and Powerapps)

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • 5+ years supporting an ERP package such as Syspro
  • 3+ years support EDI
  • Programing languages such as VBA, SQL, or XML

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years’ experience in an IT-based operation within a manufacturing facility

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):

  • This role is mostly a stationary office position, but it will require some movement throughout an office and manufacturing facility.
