Job description
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Security Industrial & Compliance in our Canoga Park, CA office.
This position performs duties associated with providing administrative and technical support of all security, video surveillance and access control systems. The position may support enterprise architecture for system integration as well as performs security inspections to ensure that security policies/procedures are followed in the handling and storage of classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Responsible for tracking and analysing data and maintaining contracts associated with maintenance and procurement. This position performs oversight of installation and maintenance activities to ensure contract and statement of work compliance. Respoinsibilities will include training employees on all aspects of access control, alarm monitoring, and other associated duties in addition to working with managers, supervisors and subordinate personnel to develop and give security instructions; conduct security training programs, education classes, or special subject briefings. Responsible for developing and administering security programs in accordance with security policies/procedures as well as Federal and Industrial Security Manual policies and procedures and implements changes which apply to Aerojet Rocketdyne and performing special studies or administrative investigations regarding security issues.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
50% Oversees architecture, configuration, specifications, installation, modification and maintenance of security, video surveillance, and other alarm systems. Performs security inspections and conduct tests of intrusion alarms as outlined in USG regulations, contracts or other applicable directives to ensure compliance to policies/procedures for the handling and storage of classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Ensures optimal performance of security systems and end user functionality. Establishes a process for the timely receipt and dispatch to alarms in accordance with contractual requirements. Evaluates security programs and implements changes to increase the effectiveness of such programs. Reviews application data and personnel records on a recurring basis to ensure accuracy of information, consistent with business systems of record.
25% Provides solutions to problems involving unusual complexity. Provides input to Security department objectives and long-range goals. Keeps current within area of specialty in support of company objectives and assignments. Keeps current with Federal and contractual security requirements and trends. Represents the Security COE as required. Interacts with internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordinative activity across organizational lines.
10% Perform Locksmith duties at the Los Angeles facility.
10% The position may require travel to other AR facilities.
5% Performs associated duties as assigned.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of Department of Defense security requirements and UL alarm standards, excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to translate complex technical instructions into user-friendly actions and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of personnel. The ability to operate effectively in a team environment is also required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance as a condition of employment. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels or with fume or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc. requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as face protection (safety glasses, goggles, face shield), foot protection (i.e. steel toed shoes, rubber boots, etc.), gloves, hard hat, shop coat and hearing protection. Work requires the ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment when entering or exiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other areas. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. Work duties may also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer and/or the ability to travel by air or auto. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. This position may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
