Senior Analyst – Liquids Middle Office

- Corporate & Traded Credit: Investments in opportunistic and dislocated traded credit, as well as restructurings and liquidations in corporate, structured product, sovereign, and other credit instruments and related assets.
- Real Estate Credit & Assets: Debt and equity investments related to commercial and residential real estate in public markets as well as private credit and asset-level investments in segments such as transportation and infrastructure.
- Financial Services: Investments across the capital structure in consumer finance, commercial finance, and other areas related to financial services, including private credit lending, loan portfolio purchases, and private equity.

Opportunity:
· Work in a global, fast-paced environment that invests in a diverse set of complex assets.
· A varied role, with responsibilities involving trading desk support, pricing and valuations, and operations.
· Have direct contact with a variety of parties including: traders, banks, prime brokers, custodians, asset managers and trade counterparties.
· Work on a close-knit Middle Office team to ensure that all operational day to day duties and controls are covered across offices.

Summary of Responsibilities:
· Work with trading desks and third-party fund administrator to price the book on a monthly basis.
· Work with external pricing vendors to enhance third party valuation support.
· Assist with daily, monthly and ad-hoc reporting to the PMs.
· Assist with Valuation Committee material generation.
· Provide review of daily P&L checks, maintain controls and update associated documentation.
· Assist in ensuring trade allocations are entered per PM instructions and completing associated control checks.
· Identify high touch events and escalate appropriately.
· Adhere to new policies, procedures and internal controls as business invests in new assets or geographies.
· Provide support and facilitate key life cycle events for portfolio investments (e.g. restructurings, mergers, IPOs, other asset servicing events)
· Assist in reconciliation queries across multiple systems; Advent Geneva, Order Management System, internal data warehouse, fund administrator, or external counterparty reporting.
· Participate in Middle Office related projects and initiatives.
· Interface and develop internal relationships with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Risk, and Investor Relations teams on ad-hoc related projects, tasks or requests.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Economics, and/or Finance a plus).
· 3-6 years of prior experience at a Hedge Fund, Asset Manager and/or Global Bank; within a trade support, valuation or product control function is strongly preferred.
· Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel. Knowledge of Bloomberg, Advent Geneva portfolio management and order management systems a plus. A familiarity with/ experience of working with SQL/Tableau/Sigma Computing is preferred.
· Strong liquid product knowledge a plus (Equities, Futures, Fixed Income, Credit Derivatives, Bank Debt, Repos, FX).
· Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and prioritize among many time-sensitive demands.
· Possess characteristics that include resourcefulness, solid problem resolution skills and the ability to deal effectively with people in a variety of relationships and situations.
· A strong team player, who will need to take a proactive and engaged approach, working reliably and independently to complete assigned tasks and problem solve. This would suit an inquisitive candidate, with a business controls orientation.
