Senior Analyst (Accounts Payable)

Position Description

Performs professional level analysis and control functions in area of assignment. The role will be responsible for a broad range of accounts payable functions including processing invoices, analyzing invoices for proper recording, responding to vendor inquiries, point of escalation for inquiries or issues, and projects as required. This candidate will work independently, with little supervision and a high level of efficiency and accuracy in accordance with the established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions

Responsible for processing invoices in TechBuy and the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) for all TTUHSC EP departments and maintain working knowledge of all rules and regulations from the Texas Comptroller's FMX website.
Interact with user departments and vendors on vendor payment related issues.
Collaborates with departments to guide them with payment types and procedures. Inform and assist in resolving questions from customers pertaining to payments.
Maintain and process the daily workflow of all E-Invoices in AP Module in TechBuy
Research discrepancies of state fund entries discovered for the purpose of reaching resolution, ensuring accuracy of data and complying to established procedures.
Monitor the AP Inbox. Research and resolve all questions from staff, departments and vendors.
Verifies previous days work for accuracy.
Prioritize and schedule daily workload. Keep supervisor aware of any issues or concerns.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field.
Three (3) years related experience; OR
A combination of related education and/or experience to equal seven years.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance preferred.
Proficient at Excel Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, Ability to analyze issues and recommend/implement solutions
Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
