Job: Senior Accountant
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Type: Fulltime

The expanding offshore wind business is searching for a Senior Accountant to be an integral, hands-on team member collaborating with developers, project managers, and internal departments throughout the full project life-cycle. This individual is responsible for timely and accurate general ledger accounting and financial reporting and will provide essential accounting support to project teams and senior management.
Main Accountabilities:
- Responsible for all transactions, accounting records, and financial reporting, for multiple entities. Will develop a working knowledge of each entity’s business operations and act as the primary Accounting Department contact.
- Read contracts and lease agreements to develop an understanding of the businesses and be able to discuss these contracts and the accounting concepts. Have a clear understanding of the accounting for asset capitalization, receivables, debt, and right of use assets.
- Perform monthly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and IFRS reporting requirements.
- Prepare and deliver partnership financial statements and other reporting as requested.
- Accurately manage intercompany transactions and monthly reconciliations for elimination and consolidation.
- Work with Project teams to ensure all project finances are accurately reflected and reconciled. Will establish and lead recurring meetings to discuss project status, review outstanding receivables and commitments, and cash flow position.
- Ensure management service fees are compiled and invoiced in accordance with contractual obligations and processed timely.
- Primary contact for external auditors and responsible person for fiscal year end audits and preparation of financial statements with footnotes.
- Responsible for managing the cash position, timely issuance of payments, partner cash calls, and ad hoc requests. Responsible for providing quarterly cash projections.
- Develop processes, drive continuous improvement, coordinate requirements upstream and downstream in the organization. Leverage work to other teams as needed.
- Perform ad-hoc projects as needed, including those which may involve complex or advanced accounting concepts.
- Comply with all OW NA policies and procedures.
- Carries out other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant industry experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- CPA or progress towards, preferred.
- Accounting experience with partnerships and consolidations is a plus.
- Experience with SAP and project accounting is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
