A leading manufacturing company in Pleasant Prairie is seeking a highly motivated and well tenured Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and ensuring that all financial statements are accurate and compliant with accounting standards. You will work closely with the management team to provide financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making.

The role will primarily be onsite with several remote days allowed each month!

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Oversee the company's cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, such as capital expenditure analysis, pricing analysis, and profitability analysis
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring that all journal entries are accurate and complete
  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and general ledger accounts
  • Manage the company's fixed asset register, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposal
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Provide support for audits, including financial statement audits and tax audits
  • Manage and develop junior accounting staff

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in financial reporting and general accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
