- Manage day-to-day activities for one or more client accounts, including media relations, content creation, and project management, as well administrative tasks (developing trackers, agendas, scheduling calls etc.) across client needs.
- Provide proactive program-specific client counsel, insights, and creative recommendations for brand activations and talent endorsements.
- Assist in development and implementation of high-quality campaigns and media programs from conception to execution to placement including project and timeline management, vendor management, contracting, media strategy, media outreach, and reporting.
- Develop media materials including pitches, press releases, and collateral. Write and edit media strategies, including developing unique storylines and media target mapping.
- Identify national consumer media opportunities or pitch angles (e.g., compelling or timely trend stories), build media lists, conduct outreach to media and build relationships with key reporters.
- Support media relations outreach, desk research, vetting inbound media requests.
- Build and maintain relations with lifestyle media with the goal of integrating clients into the broader news cycle and trending social conversations.
- Support sponsored content execution and award research/vetting/submission
- Serve as measurement leader, collaborating with junior staff on monthly trackers
- Oversee day-to-day workflow of junior staff, providing professional development opportunities.
- 3-5 years of experience in a communications-focused role (in-house, agency, or other).
- Experience working with brands, sponsors, or clients associated with personal finance, travel or food & beverage is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing results-oriented public relations programs and providing high-quality service to demanding clients.
- Proven success in media outreach to top-tier consumer long-lead publications, short-lead consumer media and national broadcast media.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to interact with clients on a day-to-day basis.
- Multitasker, self-starter, proactive, problem solve, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding of and interest in social media and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), influencer relations, social media trends and social programs.
- Experience in developing and editing high quality written materials, including media correspondence and story angles; and strong presentation skills.
- Understanding of product integration, media and third-party partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Knowledge of national lifestyle and consumer magazine reporters/editors and experience in building strategic media lists and forging reporter relationships
- Ability to cultivate diverse teams and contribute to an inclusive working and learning environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $62,160 - $81,400.
