Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication, excellent observational skills and previous surveillance experience, preferably in a law enforcement environment. This person should have the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations while exhibiting patience and a superb attention to detail. This position maintains communications via radio with on- duty security officers. Answering emergency and non- emergency telephone calls. Monitors interior/ exterior security camera system.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor surveillance equipment, identifying safety hazards and problems and sending staff.
• Answer and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls ensuring clear communication between clients/customers and officers.
• Monitor officers and driver logs.
• Addressing problems and dispatching appropriate team members
• Distribute equipment and communicate with managers about staff and equipment needs.
• Document ALL details during shift and write 30-40 reports per shift
• Able to multi-task well and be diligent and respectful at all times.
• Communicate with management through Company group chat.
• Communicate with officer through radios
• Complete end of shift reports at the end of each shift.
• Security Dispatcher Position is a key role in our organization; you are the eyes and ears behind the scene for our Security Officers. Security Dispatchers report to the Director of Communications.

Qualifications:

• Ability to sit/ stay in one setting for 12 hours at a time
• Ability to multi- task; handling communications with various areas
• Must possess effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully interact at all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective successfully interact at all levels of personnel and the general public in professional and effective manner, including with clients.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years of age
• Previous Dispatch experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to work overtime as needed

PHYSICAL/ MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use both hands, is frequently required sit, talk and hear (communicate verbally in person and via regular telephone equipment), and must be able to read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English.
• Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination
• Work indoors (Temperature controlled)
• Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment, with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Includes being able to effectively manage multiple employees with diverse personalities and engage them to perform at optimum levels.
• Must be able to clearly speak, read and write English.
