The Thurston County's Public Works department has 5 openings for seasonal positions in the Design Engineering (2), Surveying (2), and Construction & Engineering Support (1) sections to support project delivery. Specific tasks include collecting delivery tickets on constructions projects, survey staking, traveling in the CRView van and entering data into a computer for road ratings activities, assisting design with basic activities on capital projects during the busy construction season, and more.



Working Conditions:
Requires strenuous outdoor work, exposure to all weather conditions, dust, vegetation, insects, construction equipment and traffic. Physical exertion required for lifting, which may be in excess of 50 lbs.

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
