SEASONAL EVENT SPECIALIST
Job description
Highlands Ranch Metro District looking for an Event Specialist to help out this summer! We offer referral and end of season bonuses as well as a fun work environment!

GENERAL PURPOSE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Answering reservation calls and assisting public with shelter and event scheduling- Customer service
- Completing reservation requests using RecTrac software
- Operation of facility equipment including lights at Civic Green Park
- Provides event reports and evaluations
- Uses data to assists in the recommendation and evaluation of improvements to the operation that will provide maximum enjoyment for all the participants
- Prioritizes excellent internal and external customer service
- Assists with ensuring the safety of employees and participants; maintains discipline and assists with handling complaints from the public
- Complies with District and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- One year of practical experience in customer service, sales, equipment maintenance, or related field.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, participants, and the general public.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions, and is frequently required to walk, sit and talk or hear. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hand and arms. The employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally quiet while performing office functions or moderately loud during events.
