Professional/Non-Instructional - Position - School Psychologist
Description:
Heartland AEA has a full-time position available for the 2023-24 school year, based out of the Indianola office, serving students in the Norwalk (grades 6-12) adn Martensdale St. Mary's school districts. This position will have a 192-day contract and will provide services that assist parents and professionals in meeting the educational and social/emotional/behavioral and mental health needs of children and youth and will include Child Find responsibilities within a RtI model.
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants must be appropriately licensed/certified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners, having a Professional Service License (or have the ability to obtain a license) and have a post-master's level of professional training in an approved school psychology training program with institutional recommendations. Prefer applicants who have a specialist degree or master's plus 30 hours and a desire to work within a RtI/MTSS model. Bilingual abilities are a plus, but not required. Qualified candidates should have an understanding of function of behavior and best practices in instruction for behavior.
