Individuals who participate in this exchange enrich their professional skills and share cross-cultural activities in schools and communities. International exchange teachers return home after the exchange program with experience and increased knowledge of the US educational system.

A (School) District Liaison is a role assisting an international teacher's smooth transition upon arrival in the United States. A school district liaison is assigned in school districts where 12, or more teachers are hosted. The best candidates include teachers, instructional leaders and retired education scholars.

A State Liaison is a role supporting an international teacher's smooth transition upon arrival in the United States. A state liaison is assigned in states where 25 or more teachers are hosted. The best candidates include realtors, retired teachers, and self-employed individuals.

Compensation: $500 per assigned teacher per school year. If Liaison performs driving duties, additional compensation in the amount of $20.00 per driving hour plus $0.625 per mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities Include:

● Airport Pick-Up

● Carpooling to and from the hotel, social security office, bank, grocery store, etc

● Transport to employer human resources department for onboarding meeting.

● Assist with locating apartments

Requirements:

● Must pass a background check

● Use own reliable vehicle

● Have a smartphone

● Have a flexible schedule

● If driving, is responsible for their own gas, maintenance, and all other expenses related to driving
