Dallas Counseling and Treatment Center is a mental health practice with offices in Uptown Dallas, Rockwall, Plano, and Denton, Texas. We are seeking a new full-time team member in our scheduling department responsible for scheduling new patient appointments via email and phone, communicating with patients about billing matters, explaining insurance benefits, and collecting necessary patient documents.
Requirements:
- Previous work experience within the medical field, ideally within mental health (preferred)
- Working knowledge of health insurance
- Working knowledge of HIPAA (preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills
- 2 - 3 years of experience working in a professional office setting
- Strong verbal and writing skills
Our ideal candidates are independent, well-spoken, and have experience in customer service and/or in a medical office setting. Candidates must be able to be engaging, and can communicate with patients in an empathic manner. This role is the first point of contact for potential patients, so candidates must be inviting and warm. This position operates from our Uptown Dallas location, and once trained, the candidates may work 100% remote. Preference will be given to candidates that are willing to eventually work in office one pre-assigned day per week.
This position is full time, requiring 40 hours per week. The schedule will be 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Candidates should include a cover letter with their resume to demonstrate their writing skills. This cover letter should include their preferred schedule from the options above.
