Purpose

To assist in coordinating designated health care staff schedules (CNA) to ensure adequate coverage to meet resident needs and to coordinate purchasing of supplies and equipment used in the Health Care Center and Clinic.
This position is Full Time Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Essential Functions

  • Creates and assists in managing staff schedules by adjusting appropriately and scheduling CNA staff to ensure adequate staff coverage.
  • Receives, approves and processes paid time off requests to ensure adequate staff coverage for all shifts, i.e. sick leave, vacation, LOA.
  • Checks and approves electronic time sheets, making corrections as necessary with approval from appropriate managers, to ensure staff is paid accurately.
  • Monitors attendance records and on-line training, and notifies supervisor of issues.
  • Keeps Director of CNA Services and Administrator informed of employee needs and scheduling difficulties.
  • Works with DON, Director of CNA Services, and Administrator to schedule floor orientation for new hires, staff meetings and in-service programs for staff.
  • Works closely with Human Resources Department to assure compliance with company policies and procedures related to time cards, attendance and various leaves.
  • Assists with procurement of supplies and equipment for the Health Care Center/Clinic and assures that an adequate amount of supplies and equipment are on hand.
  • Reviews vendor invoices for accuracy and processes invoices for approval by Administrator.
  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipment discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Assists with month end inventory for the Health Care Center and Clinic.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Arcadia Family of Companies (AFC).

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma and two year post high school education; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in using a computer including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook. PowerPoint, Word) and other applicable software applications.
