As the face of Southern Star, you’ll introduce customers to DISH’s award-winning tv service and a wide array of products and services to enhance both the viewing experience as well as updating the home with the latest technology. Technicians’ knowledge of our wide range of products and services provide expert solutions to meet needs and improve a customer’s experience. Our technicians are responsible for hitting a minimum sales metric which leads to earning more money.

Once you’re a part of the team, you’ll gain amazing compensation opportunities including hourly pay + commission, the chance for performance incentive bonuses as well as the opportunity to receive production-based pay instead of being stuck at your base hourly rate! We provide paid training; with a first-year potential of $50,000 or more. Earning potential increases with experience the only cap is your level of performance!

After training average technician pay: $50,000 - $60,000 annually

Exceptional Technician Pay: $60,000 - $85,000+ annually

You will also need to perform the following:

• Maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Climb ladders up to 38 ft (our ladders have a maximum capacity of 250 lbs)
• Utilize crawl spaces in attics and under homes
• Technicians need to be willing to travel to other locations within the company to provide support as needed – up to 20% travel possible - lodging & per diem provided by SSI during these campaigns.

After training we provide the van, phone, and equipment you will use to complete your work.

No experience needed; however, experience in cable, construction, plumbing, manufacturing, retail, door to door sales and delivery translates well to this role. Experience as a gutter installer, assembler, tile installer, sales representative, electronics technician, installation technician, mechanic, painter, general laborer, and helper all a plus!
