Role: IT/SAP Business Process Specialist
Location: Rochester Hills, MI (Onsite)
Full-Time/Permanent
Job Duties and Requirements:
- Lead the local IT operations in collaboration with the global IT team
- Translate business requirements and business process flows into SAP
- Coordinate the onboarding of new EDI partners and set up and test in SAP
- Manage any SAP-related changes and optimization projects
- Manage all local IT-related projects
- Be the first point of escalation (2. Level Support) for local SAP key users
- Responsible for IT compliance and corporate security requirements
- Lead the training of SAP key users and end users
- Manage SAP environment with key user support and configuration updates
- Manage supplemental software which is connected to SAP
- Lead other IT projects within the organization (with support of global IT team and other external IT providers)
- Facilitate the creation of supporting documents for key users (e.g. local work instructions)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Experience, Education and Qualifications
- Prior experience working in the automotive/manufacturing industry is highly preferred
- Strong SAP EDI configuration skills are required
- A minimum of 3 years of SAP logistics experience (min. of one of the modules: SD, PP, MM)
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable degree, or comparable business experience in a related field
- Comfortable working with IT infrastructure (Windows Server, User Devices, Active Directory)
- IT technology and development aptitude
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrable expertise in requirements gathering, mapping, functional design, business process analysis and master data management
- Ability to manage multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlines
- Flexibility to support business demands by occasionally working outside of core business hours
- Results-oriented with the ability to function in a team environment
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization – management, peers, team members, vendors
- Able to analyze problems, generate solutions and achieve results
- Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal
- Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision
- Fluent English in written and spoken form is required
- German language skills are a plus
