Arcosa Texas Region is searching for a Manager Trainee for our Ferris, TX location. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by assisting with the activities and engaging with staff within a mining environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Manager Trainee, you will train under the regional manager by learning on the job and supporting the plants daily actives in an aggregates business.

What You’ll Do:

• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.

• Assists in managing production and distribution of aggregates material
• Directing the work of hourly employees
• Set production schedules
• Assist in equipment efficiency to maximize production
• Help ensure the quality of the material
• In training

What you'll need:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Mining.
• OR Must have 5 years of mining experience in an aggregate environment.
• Knowledge of mine design preferred
• Ability to think analytically and solid math skills to perform analysis
• Solid computer skills including MS Office products
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• This job requires individuals to walk distances, walking on rough surfaces and sitting
• Complies with all federal, state and local guidelines.
• Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds.
• The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
