Summary

The Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the day-to-day activities of the RFS Compliance Team including notices of violation (NOVs), internal/external reporting, and Compliance Team open work orders (OWR). This includes PMs, NOVs, OWR reporting, testing, and inspections. This includes acting as SME for compliance-related processes, customer communications, and internal primary point of contact for Compliance Team. This role is focused on meeting productivity standards, resolving operational problems, and maintaining compliance team performance metrics as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • NOV tracking and response - Manage Notice of Violations process, reports and trends analyses. Provide actionable solutions; when applicable, interface with clients, sub-contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Compliance Open Work Order tracking and response - Manage Compliance Open Work Order process, reports and trend analysis. Provide actionable solutions; when applicable, interface with clients, sub-contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Acts as the primary escalation point for internal/external customer concerns, resolves and addresses issues within established guidelines
  • Acts as the SME for the group and business process
  • SME responsible for the management and implementation of compliance systems
  • Supervises non-exempt employees providing guidance, leadership, coaching, and training. Ensures work coverage for the group, including scheduling and attendance management.
  • Compliance reports building and analyzing
  • QC day-to-day work processes and results to established service levels
  • Compliance Training – RFS team and customers
  • Primary input to hiring, performance & rewards decisions for a group of employees.

  • Develop, organize and complete tasks and projects using software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointAble to build and manage complex regulatory tracking files

  • Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines

  • Effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback
  • Detailed understanding of functional area and associated regulatory environment (compliance) intermediate required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred Business or related field
  • Two (2) years or more Compliance and regulatory experience required
  • Detailed understanding of functional area and associated regulatory environment (compliance) intermediate required
