Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver job materials to customers, including sand, gravel and roll off containers.
• Making sure loads are secured and tarped.
• Drivers are responsible for loading their trucks using front end loaders or excavators.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and detect malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needed.
• Service vehicles with water, fuel, or oil.
• Check tires and air pressure.
• Maintain daily driver logs, pre-trip reports, work orders and reports.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Read maps and GPS navigation devices.
• Clean and maintain truck and equipment.
• Collect payments, including customer id (driver’s license) and physical address for checks.
• Hand labor and heavy lifting may be required.
• Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted per DOT regulations and company policy.
• Work as a team member.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Must be at least a high school graduate or equivalent. Class A or B CDL is required. MVR check will be conducted. Current DOT physical required. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of similar experience in the trucking industry. Must be drug and alcohol free. Must be mature, responsible and professional in conduct of self and in carrying out the duties of this position.

Preferred Skills

Driving dump truck, roll off truck and dump trailer.

Operate heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators.

Additional Notes

This type of work is sometimes seasonal and affected by weather. The Spring and summer are our busiest times and may require longer hours and occasional Saturday work.
