Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items

• To set up and operate a universal Grinder in grinding roll journals. Also, the heat treater to heat treat rolls and set up the mill to cut keyways.
• Executes to scale, orthographically correct, computer-generated Arrangement drawings with little or no reference.
• Insures that published ANDRITZ Metals USA Inc. Engineering standards and ANDRITZ Metals USA Inc. CAD standards and architecture are maintained and applied in the preparation of all drawings.
• Operates grinder in finish grinding small rolls and bearing. Also, measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges etc. checks pieces as required.
• Unloads the finished pieces off machine and polishes radius of bearings on the belt polisher.
• Dresses and changes grinding wheels or work rest bars as necessary. Changes coolant water and removes grinding swill as required.
• Reports defective, faulty materials and equipment and performs and assist in minor and major repairs when necessary.
• Lubricates equipment and maintains machine and area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Dismantles bearings, inspects, cleans, greases, and reassembles and installs new grease seals if necessary.

Knowledge

• Must be capable understanding centerless grinder and auxiliary measuring instruments, such as, micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, scelerscope.
• Knowledge of drawings, specs, and of adjustable instruments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
