Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at HCA’s Swift Creek Free Standing Emergency Department, you will provide emergency nursing care to patients as part of fully functioning autonomous ER. Our state of the art Emergency Department has 12 beds including a trauma bay, with a Pediatric Entrance and Adult Entrance. We are open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year serving Western Chesterfield and Eastern Powhatan Counties.

• You will provide therapeutic and administrative services for the care of patients in support of HCA including admission assessment, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting all aspects of patient care.
• As a member of this team you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Our nurses effectively communicate and maintain therapeutic care with patients, families, physicians and other staff.
• As a nurse on our team you will be responsible for coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN Preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
• Current BLS certification (ACLS, PALS, and TNCC preferred)
