Immediate Full Time and Part Time opportunities available for RNs (Registered Nurse) with our skilled nursing facility in Suffolk County.

Pay Rate: $52.00/hr

Available Shifts:

• 7:00am – 3:00pm (Full or Part Time)
• 11:00pm - 7:00am (Part Time)

Job Details

• Assess the daily needs of subacute or long-term care residents and assign the appropriate staff to meet the nursing care needs of residents on more than one unit on assigned shift.
• Supervise and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing care provided to the resident on the assigned shift and ensure all charting is complete
• Document and update the nursing care plan regarding all changes and needs of the residents.
• Communicate effectively and respond appropriately to issues and concerns of residents and families.
• Initiate and participate in residents/family educational programs.
• Ensure that unit staffing is within established guidelines
• Effectively communicate with nursing supervisor, director and nursing staff all pertinent data and information relevant to nursing resident care, accidents, incidents
• Participate in clinical in-service for nursing staff, including the certification of nursing assistants, orientation of nursing employees and skill development consistent with the needs of the residents on the assigned shift and attend management meetings as directed

Qualifications

• NYS Registered Nurse
• Clinical practice experiences working with an adult or aging population in a clinical setting
• Experience using EMR
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills
• RN with 6mo. experience in long term care required.
• Will consider long term care experience for more recent RN grads.
