Join Scripps as Registered Nurse (RN) Clinic – Family Medicine where you will ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience. You will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice. Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, emergency protocols, and medication administration. Work collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

The Primary Care RN assists patients, staff, and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to the designated patient population. Assist with the leadership of the clinical and clerical staff. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to phone triage as well as triaging patients who present to the clinic, assisting with phone calls and portal messages, documentation in EMR (electronic medical record), performing nursing tasks within scope of practice. You must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Using a care team approach, you will support Primary Care and work a hybrid of onsite and remote to assist the team as needed.

As RN, you are expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance and be able to delegate tasks appropriately. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

This position is Full Time working 8-hour shifts on days, Monday - Friday. Located both on site at Scripps Corporate Offices (La Jolla) and remote. After training (roughly 6 weeks on site), this position requires working on site for 1 week followed by 4 weeks of remote work.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• ADN or Nursing Diploma

Required Certification/Registration:

• CA RN license
• BLS from American Heart Association

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• BSN
• One year outpatient RN experience
• One year acute care or ED/UC experience
• Epic experience
