Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Schedule surgeries at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center, SurgCare and WH ASC for all assigned providers.
• Coordinate and communicate surgery date to patient, surgeon and clinical team.
• Coordinate any necessary appointments required for patient related to surgery.
• Complete all required documentation in the EHR.
• Communicate pertinent information to surgeon, clinical team and OR.
• Communicate with managed care team to verify surgery authorization by insurance and document pertinent information in the EHR.

• As assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• BLS/CPR Certification

Preferred:

• Experience with surgery scheduling
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Previous experience with surgery scheduling
• Experience with surgery scheduling
• Experience in an orthopedic setting
