The Role…
Overseeing the operations of our growing retail network, the Retail Operations Manager will own and improve our processes and systems. This role reports into the Trading Director and is responsible for the efficient running of our retail spaces in the USA. The Retail Operations Manager will look after health and safety, stock operations and movement, non-stock procurement, maintenance and development of the POS systems and in store omnichannel implementation in addition to supporting any new store openings as they occur. This role will involve working with stakeholders in teams across the business (Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, E-Commerce, Customer Service, Logistics etc…) as well as external suppliers. This role would suit someone with retail experience gained in a store environment, and a keen interest in improving on processes and systems to benefit the team and customer experience.
Main Duties…
- Owning the retail systems as they currently stand and any future iterations as they are implemented
- Compiling and sharing feedback from the retail teams to the appropriate support office functions
- Training retail teams on the use and implementation of any retail systems
- Ensuring accurate records are kept and delivered on time to the relevant stakeholders (Stocktaking, financial reconciliations etc…)
- Liaising with logistics, merchandising/NPD & VM regarding delivered of stock into stores
- Working with e-commerce and other relevant teams on the implementation of the in store POS and any associated omnichannel processes (Collect and reserve in store, return to store etc…)
- Partnering with the General Managers on stocktaking & stockholding processes in stores to make them as efficient as possible
- Work with store teams to ensure proper maintenance of spaces in conducted through 3rd party vendors and recorded to ensure compliance
- Create, own and maintain a retail operations manual for all stores to ensure uniform operating standards across the estate
- Support on the opening and closing of store sites, owning the operational critical path, including non stock procurement, product deliveries, operational training and OH&S requirement
Requirements / Qualifications...
- Experience managing in a retail environment (preferably a store)
- Experience within a business with omni-channel operations
- Experience managing stakeholders from across different functions to deliver on projects
- Track record of delivering operational projects
