Restaurant Host/Hostess

The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls restaurant, Kindred Spirits, is looking for the right person to be a host! Breakfast and Lunch as well as dinner shifts available. This schedule is perfect for someone in school or looking for a second job. Very flexible schedule. This person will be responsible for greeting guests with a smile as they enter the restaurant, confirming guest reservations in the reservation system, seating them at their assigned tables, and making sure the servers know their tables have arrived. They will also clean and sanitize menu books as well as help bus tables, do dishes, and run food if needed. Food discounts and free beverages during shift. Work shirts provided. Fun atmosphere in a tourist area.

$11 hourly

• Greet guests in a friendly manner when they arrive at the restaurant
• Confirm guest reservations and seat them at the proper table
• Give guests food and drink menus
• Check guests in and out on the reservations system on the computer
• Help bus tables, run food, and occasionally do dishes as needed
• Assist servers when asked

• Have an outgoing, friendly personality
• Willing to be a team player
• Must be able to talk to guests
• Have general knowledge of the area, hiking trails, etc.
• Be willing to learn

Our company has been in operation for 34 years. We are a full-service Inn with Geodomes, Cottages, Yurts, Cabins, and Lodges. We also have an onsite restaurant where we serve breakfast daily to all guests for free. We are open for lunch in the peak season (May through October) and are open for dinner nightly. We have a spa where visitors can get massages, spa facials, scrubs, wraps, etc.
