SOUTH JERSEY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RESOURCES, INC. (SJBHR), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which may qualify for public service loan forgiveness, is a community-based mental health organization dedicated to providing quality behavioral health services since 1984.

SJBHR is currently seeking a full-time caring, compassionate Direct Support Professional to serve as a team leader at our Debra Brown Group Home for the deaf and hard of hearing. We offer a robust benefits and time off package.

Under the supervision of the program coordinator or other supervisor, the team leader is responsible for taking the lead in service provision and coordination for consumers residing in the assigned residence. In addition, the team leader is responsible for the oversight and coordination of services to ensure the safe, therapeutic operation the group home residence.

Requirements:

• American Sign Language.
• high school diploma or the equivalent, plus five (5) years related work experience
  OR
• A combination of one (1) or more years of college, and one (1) or more years related experience together equaling five (5) years: OR
• Graduation from an accredited college/university with a bachelor’s degree in a mental health or other appropriate human services related discipline, and one (1) year work experience in a mental health residential setting.
• Valid driver’s license is required. Driver abstract must meet insurance carrier’s requirements.
• Upon hire, must satisfactorily complete the SJBHR orientation and competency based adult mental health rehabilitation program training.
