Summary:
Center For Family Services is seeking experienced and professional Residential Counselor for the Transitions Program. The Residential Counselor position requires patience, dedication, understanding, and a passion for engaging and providing supervision and structure for youth living in a residential treatment setting. The Residential Counselor provides direct counseling services, instructs and guides youth informally throughout their day to day activities, and co-leads recreation and physical education activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Residential Counselor is a positive role model and provides life skills education for youth in the program. This individual completes documentation and other reporting requirements in a timely manner, contributes on Agency committees, meets regularly with supervisor, and participates in other continuing professional development opportunities. The Residential Counselor ensures that program structure is consistent with stated goals and objectives, reports to and serves on the treatment team, provides one-to-one assistance with difficult youth, and provides transportation to and from appointments.
Requirements:

• High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• At least 5 years' experience working with youth
• Must have ability to provide leadership, be a role model, and relate positively to youth
• Current driver's license with an good driving record of at least three years
• Vehicle with current insurance and registration
• Must have work history in the mental health and behavioral health field
