The Residential Coordinator is a hands-on, site supervisory position. This is not a desk job or office job. You will still be working directly with the clients in the home you will be responsible for. The Residential Coordinator will work in cooperation with residential and program staff to ensure that the Direct Support Professionals are knowledgeable and providing client services as required per each client’s ISP.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have high school diploma or GED
At least one year experience in IDD or working as a Direct Support Professional (with some management experience preferred)
Age 21 or older
Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely lift, turn, position and transfer individuals with physical disabilities
Need to have open availability
Must have reliable transportation and auto insurance
Valid driver’s license with four points or less
Must be able to pass background check
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the assigned site including ensuring immediate client health & safety needs and staffing/supervision levels are provided
- Effectively communicate information pertinent to client services, training topics and/or Welcome House policy or procedure to Direct Support Professionals at site
- Manage and monitor the medical needs and treatment of clients, including overseeing medication administration without errors
- Manage each client's banking and plan weekly menus according to household budget
- Train new Direct Support Professionals on client-specific and house-specific information and document any issues pertaining to staff corrective action
- Ensure that site complies with all regulations, including, fire drills, severe weather drills, crisis and emergency plans.
