The Residential Aide (1st shift; weekends, part time) at The Manor is a great entry level role for anyone over 18, with a high school diploma and interested in working in the Human Services field. In this position, employees care for clients in a group home setting. Working with individuals on living skills, social and financial skills and treatment direction/follow through. All while being a key support staff to our therapeutic team. Our Residential Aid's will learn proper documentation techniques and other state /federal standards followed by the Department of Mental Health.

What we're looking for:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Familiar with Computer
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
• Excellent 5-year Driving Record (must have valid driver’s license)
• Certified in (or ability to obtain) CPR, 1st Aide, MAC, CPI

What you'll be doing:

• In the absence of the House Supervisor, assume supervisory authority of the direct care of the residents in the facility
• Provide consistent instruction, guidance, encouragement, and reinforcement to the home residents.
• Regularly implements basic living skills training objectives and documents resident’s progress in a timely manner in the Electronic Health Record
• Helps to coordinate resident activities in the home and community
• Regularly completes documentation of staff notes, incident reports, injury reports, shift observations, and other reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Regularly encourages and assists residents in the preparation of nutritious meals per the posted menus and completes meal preparations if residents cannot.
• May be required to lift approximately 50 lbs. and push/pull or transport client and equipment
• Ensure residents comply with home rules, maintain a clean and safe environment to include the performance of housekeeping, assist clients where necessary
• Demonstrate good safety skills, including fire drills, emergency procedures, and back safety techniques
• Promotes a positive work environment, including positive relationships with supervisors, residents, and their families and co-workers
• Administration of medication was supervised and documented
• Attends staff meetings, in-service meetings, and training as required and remains current on all training/certifications
• Works as schedules, correctly complete and submits time sheets, leave requests in a timely manner.
• Reports any facility or maintenance issues in a timely fashion and assists in maintaining the facility, equipment and vehicles.
