The program is sponsored by Kankakee Community College’s TRIO Talent Search and Upward Bound programs. Each Camp Advisor is responsible for supervising an assigned group of high school students, while assisting program administrators in the overall management of the academic program.
Essential Responsibilities:
A. Supervising high school residents on Kankakee Community College’s campus and other areas of campus where students are required to go.
B. Providing daily tutorial assistance.
C. Assisting in the implementation of various recreational activities.
D. Record-keeping of student check-in, incident reports, etc.
E. Serving as positive role models by displaying maturity, enthusiasm, friendliness, and a commitment to teamwork at all times.
Educational and Experiential Qualifications/Basis Job Requirements:
A. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Summer program runs from 6/12 - 6/29/23 on KCC's Riverfront Main Campus.
Week 1—6/12-15; Week 2—6/20-23; Week 3—6/26-29
Compensation: $1,800 stipend for three weeks; 9:00am-4:00pm
