The Opportunity:
NOx Nation (Caranto Lab) in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Central Florida is seeking a research assistant to study in the field of bioinorganic chemistry and metallo-enzymology. The candidate will work on a Department of Defense funded project to mechanistically study and engineer enzymes with promise to aid in the bioremediation of environmental contaminants.
Responsibilities:

Design, execute, and document research protocols.

Collect, analyze, and document generated data.

Write and edit grants and publications.

Maintain equipment.

Train and mentor students.

Present at scientific conferences.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with enzyme assays and site-directed mutagenesis or error-prone PCR is preferred.
