A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
nAs a Research and Development Engineer, you are responsible for the development and implementation of advanced technologies. You plan, execute, and report on design/materials exploration, qualification, and process application validation through internal testing. While maintaining a high level of expertise on the capabilities and designs of our products, you participate in the pioneering of new materials. Through your technology research, you gain new ideas and are able to express them in verbal and written communication. You have a vast knowledge of pre-sales, installation, training, and product upgrades that you use to build strong relationships with clients. You respond to client questions with confidence and accurate information. This talent for extensive research makes you an asset to our organization.
nThis engineering position gives you the opportunity to travel. You provide technical support and troubleshooting at customers' sites. You also provide support to our engineering team on complex production projects. This includes working to develop and secure intellectual property as identified by management. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

- 4-year engineering degree n
- Ability to plan and execute complex experimental programs, including hardware definition, data collection and analysis, data organization, and presentation n
- Previous experience in vacuum, thin films, or plasma systems n
A Masters Degree is preferred but we will take all previous experience into consideration. We are looking for a strong communicator with an eye for detail.
