The Rehabilitation Director is an experienced therapist who has strong clinical and interpersonal skills. This position is responsible for enhancing departmental success through upholding the mission, vision and values of CPH. In addition to providing direct patient care, the Director is responsible for performance appraisals for assigned staff, assist with budget process within the designated deadlines and according to all budgetary policies and procedures, have an understanding of regulations which impact rehabilitation, assist with assurance of standards of practice set by professional organizations-JACHO, assist with annual competency assessments of staff members and assist with operational tasks to support Rehabilitation and facilitate a positive working relationship within the Rehabilitation Department. These duties are in addition to managing individualized, goal directed therapy care through use of therapy processes and principles in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and within the Scope of Practice Act for the State of Alaska.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic leader capable of overseeing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. Existing services include PT/OT/Speech provided within a community hospital, long-term care facility, and multiple outpatient clinics. Prospective candidates must have outstanding clinical skills, an entrepreneurial spirit with sound business practices, be highly patient centric, and be capable of leading by example. We are specifically seeking a candidate capable of growing market share by providing a superior clinical experience to our patients.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree from a school of physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech-language pathology.
• Current licensure in the State of Alaska or eligibility to do so prior to hire date.
• Five years Healthcare/Medical experience as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or a Speech Language Pathologist
• Two years of Leadership experience
