We are a privately owned small animal hospital with 1 veterinarian looking for an RVT who wants to enjoy their RVT responsibilities in helping pets. Requirements:

  • Communication with clients and the team are prioritized.
  • Good attendance and punctuation, reliable, dependable, holds a good work ethic.
  • You must be able to execute kind communication with sentence fluidity.
  • Other soft skills are required such as compassion, being open minded, and cherishing diversity as an amazing way to see things from as many perspectives as possible.
  • You must be able to place an IV catheter, be able to/ learn how to perform a cystocentesis, and be confident in blood draws.
  • We need you to have the ability to: intubate, perform anesthesia, be aware of anesthetics, perform calculations, monitor patients, have vital awareness, and more.
  • You should have basic knowledge regarding: vaccinations, pet diseases, and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.
  • We like our team to have a willingness to learn new things so they can grow.
  • You need basic computer skills and typing skills.
  • Know radiographic imaging and positioning.
  • Perform/learn laser therapy.
  • Practice low stress animal handling.
  • Perform client education, and More.
  • We see exotics and pocket pets, experience with exotic pets is a plus.
