You will be TAKING OVER 2-3 patients from a nurse that will be temporarily absent. One patient receives infusions on Saturday and Sunday every 6 weeks in Haymarket; another every 2 weeks in Reston. Both are difficult to access with peripheral IVs. You must be able to commit to this.

Thanks for reviewing our infusion nursing position in NORTHERN VIRGINIA. ProNurse is licensed and insured in Virginia and we work diligently to create a friendly, professional, work environment. We need someone who can get access in a couple of very difficult patients.

Immediate patients for an EXPERIENCED infusion nurse (RN) in the Northern Virginia region. One patient receives infusions on Saturday and Sunday every 6 weeks in Haymarket; another every 2 weeks in Reston. Both are difficult to access with peripheral IVs. This position requires nurses with EXCELLENT IV start skills who are not seeing Covid-19 patients, and willing to drive up to 60 miles each way to see a patient; many are not nearly that far.

Successful candidates will have great documentation, computer, and patient management skills. It's beneficial to have experience with med port access and infusions of IVIgG and Remicade.

The position operates independently in homes and occasionally facilities, and the ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. All usual training and medical clearance requirements apply.

Since most care is performed away from our offices in Alexandria, you must have your own computer, printer, and scanner hardware to scan notes and email them to our office. Phone scans are not acceptable.

Most visits are weekdays, but occasional weekend work is required to start a patient coming on service late in the week, but these patients can then be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time.
