Pyramid Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Full Time Registered Dietitian to our support our programs in Western North Carolina.

Environment and Scope of the Position:

Meet one-on-one with clients to assess nutritional needs and provide nutrition information and teaching based on client’s individual conditions. Assist with the procurement and daily preparation of client meals. Also, to provide necessary nutrition needs/information of clients to staff. Develop meal plans to aide in weight goal for treatment and make adjustments as needed, with weight restoration rate of 2 pounds per week. Monitor for refeeding. Ensure follow through with client goals. Communicate needs to medical staff, counselors, tech staff and any others in the client’s direct line of care to provide a full spectrum of nutrition service. Attend treatment teams. Develop menus for different nutritional needs and different facilities. Document all sessions and groups within 24 hours of occurrence. Maintain weight charts/schedules and setup/ supervise Recovery Record for all clients. Maintain grocery supply with least possible food waste, lead client outings to grocery store, restaurants, and challenge snack weekly. Attend meal preparation and supervise meals 2 times per week. Provide 2-3 nutrition groups weekly per program needs. Maintain refrigerator log and overall sanitation and food supply for program. Must be able to travel to different facilities to complete work. Supervise dietary interns as needed. Monitor and determine client’s movement abilities to coordinate with treatment goals. Other duties as assigned. Follow ACA code of ethics.

Principal Results Expected:
Provide Nutritional Guidance and assessment of Nutritional needs to clients on a daily basis as well as the Food Service Department. Assist with the procurement and daily preparation of client meals

Knowledge/Professional/Technical Competencies:
Requires Certification/Registration as a Dietitian and or Degree in Dietetics.
Knowledge of CARF and NC DHHS regulations.

Experience:
Requires Past Performance as a Dietitian or a Degree in Dietetics.
