Small neighborhood practice in the heart of the Mission looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) who is looking to join a fun team that loves providing excellent dental care to patients! We are looking for a leader who is comfortable chair-side and in the back. Compensation is based on experience and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and making them comfortable
• Preparing patients for treatments and checkups
• Taking x-rays and digital impressions, and making analog impressions and pouring them
• Preparing temporary crowns
• Performing coronal polishing
• Setting up instruments, equipment and material
• Sterilizing instruments
• Assisting the dentist in performing 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-op care instructions
• Keeping dental rooms clean and well-stocked
• Inventorying of materials and instruments
• Scheduling appointments
• Assist with patient recalls, payments, backup front-desk work

Skills

• RDA certification and dental assistant experience
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• X-ray (with certification)
• Ability to perform non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing
• Comfort with Dentrix (preferred) or other Practice Management System
• Great communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
• Additional certification or training is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour

• Dental Assisting: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:
