Manager – Appliance Disassembly Recycling

The Recycling Center Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervisor of all operations of the center by w orking with transportation subcontractors to ensure the economical and efficient scheduling, pick up and transport of product and the day-to-day hands-on management of operations including processing and demanufacturing of appliances, while promoting a safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure strict compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws,

Hire, training and supervision of warehouse staff demanufacturing appliances.

Ensure strict compliance with our customer (utility company) contracts. Ensure the contract requirements are followed correctly and completely.

Monitor routes assigned to this location for a positive customer experience and cost effectiveness.

Monitor program status and establish and maintain a professional working relationship with customer representatives/managers.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all hazardous materials shipped for processing.

Responsible for processing revenue to include (wholesale, non-ferrous metals and scrap), organizing, shipping, preparing proper documentation for payment collection.

Ensures preventative maintenance is done on all company equipment

Establish priorities, show good decision-making skills, meet timelines/deadlines, and display good organizational skills, and professional interpersonal skills.

Responsible for safety and safety training for the center

Makes every effort to maximize profit and control cost to ensure stability and growth within the company and achieve short term and annual goals

Monitor and maintain department within budgetary standards

Required to obtain CFC Certification within 1st 30 days of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A commitment to high professional ethical standards

Minimum Two (2) years management experience in a general labor/manufacturing warehouse type environment.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop, lead, manage, train, direct and coordinate the efforts of others.

A commitment to safety and safety training with 12-24 months of safety training experience.

The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with a high attention to detail.

Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, OSHA regulations,

Previous experience working with and directing transportation subcontractors

Strong problem solving and investigative skills

Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail and software systems
