- Reviews open orders daily with and ships orders to plants
- Communicates effectively – verbally & in writing - with employees, management, vendors and drivers.
- Responsible for reviewing BOL, Stamp seal, and signing out the BOL and coordinating with truck driver.
- Backup for overnight, UPS, bills of lading, and shipping.
- Must ensure accuracy of finished good shipments which include case counts, code dates, item numbers, etc.
- Ensures compliance OSHA, state and local regulations among shipping personnel.
- Ensures compliance to quality, food safety and HAACP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standard.
- Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management.
- Match packing slips with purchase orders and complete necessary information.
- Tag all incoming ingredient with raw material number, purchase order number and date skid. Coordinate receiving personnel to unload and store accepted items.
- Communicate effectively – written and verbal - with employees, Management, customers, vendors and drivers and giving plant directions as necessary.
- Resolve discrepancies between purchasing and accounts payable.
- Inventory control responsibilities; includes maintaining correct inventories (cycle counts).
- Responsible for label inventories.
- Receiving, shipping & distribution of UPS, Federal Express, etc and maintain carrier information.
- Maintain purchase orders and resolve associated problems.
- Receiving for all departments (purchase orders for plant).
- Manage and organization of ingredient paperwork for recalls.
- Assist supervisor in warehouse workflow and daily planning.
- Familiarity with Inventory Management software such as Prism, JDE, and SAP
At the direction of the shift manager, may lead warehouse department in daily tasks.
- Experience with different types of forklift operations and knowledge of shipping & receiving process.
- Computer usage skills and organizational abilities required.
- Ability to communicate effectively – verbally & in writing - and work well with other employees, Management, customers & vendors.
- Experience with food warehouse management.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to move 150 pounds a distance of 25 feet or more at various frequencies and or intervals. Must be able to stand for an 8 – 10 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive tasks. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee may be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment. The noise level is loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
