Located in a town filled with charm and rich in character, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is an acute care hospital and 21 clinics serving communities from the Mendocino coast to Lake County. In addition to standard acute services, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley has a level IV trauma center, maternity and level II intensive care nursery services, an extensive physical rehabilitation program, outpatient surgery and diagnostic center and an advanced wound care center. Its network of clinics include primary care and specialty care, from internal medicine, gastroenterology and urology to otolaryngology.

We're looking for someone to join our team as a Radiologic Technologist who:

Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
  • Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information. Reports important information to the physician.
  • Verifies exams on PACS.
  • Administers targeted doses of radiation to the patient's body to treat cancer or other diseases. Administers trace amounts of radiopharmaceuticals to a patient to obtain functional information about organs, tissues and bone. Measures bone mineral density.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education:

  • CALIFORNIAAssociate's Degree in radiological technology: Required
  • OREGON AND HAWAIIAssociate's Degree in radiological technology: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • CALIFORNIA AND HAWAIIAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
  • Certification of Radiologic Technologists (CRT): Required
  • OREGONOregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License: Required
  • American Registry of Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
  • Certification of Radiologic Technologists (CRT): Required
  • Certification of Radiologic Technologists (CRT) in floroscopy: Preferred
  • Venipuncture certification: Preferred

The estimated base pay for this position is $35.37-$48.01 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
