The following challenges await you:
- The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support to the Engineers and Scientists within the Innovations Department as they develop new and modify existing products.
- Perform simple troubleshooting, selecting solutions among proven alternatives. Make routine choices within established procedures, with supervisor consultation.
- Perform functions such as batching, milling, printing and testing of products.
- Operate a broad array of laboratory processes and equipment in order to conduct routine tests on products. Able to perform some troubleshooting.
- Compile testing results with limited analysis to assist Engineers and Scientists.
- Record precise results and findings in laboratory book, database and/or files.
- Follow safety guidelines for handling materials with the use of protective equipment as required.
Your Profile:
- A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a scientific discipline, and a minimum of 1 or more years of experience in a laboratory setting are required.
- Experience within materials science or related field is preferred.
- Self-starter with an attention to detail required.
- Must have a broad proficiency with equipment operation and testing procedures with a fundamental understanding of the science behind it.
- Familiarity with metals, glass, oxides, resins, solvents and associated properties is preferred.
