Summary: To accurately and timely produce related work as assigned by supervision. Engages a wide variety of Quality Assurance activities to achieve and ensure excellent quality and timely delivery of production jobs. Promote the products and services offered by HHC, Inc. through daily quality production of all work. Effectively and positively communicate with management, employees, customers and vendors. Promote the long-term goals of HHC, Inc. Promote good working relationships and teamwork with all
employees. Must be flexible and perform other duties not listed below to meet HHC Inc.’s changing needs.
Nature & Scope of Position:
Follows established paperwork procedures to establish, maintain, track and complete jobs.
Responsible for quality inspection of work to ensure maximum production and to meet customer due dates.
Utilizes proper measurement techniques and equipment in carrying out job duties.
Responsible for maintaining the measuring equipment in proper operating condition and keeping the calibration current.
Responsible for housekeeping and organization in the QC area.
Responsible for maintaining proper documentation related to jobs (prints, serial # logs, customer books, etc.).
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, etc. to determine customer requirements.
Communicate with customers, Sales and Customer Service personnel to clarify job requirements.
Responsible for insuring jobs meet customer requirements and appropriate quality standards.
Report issues of a reportable nature to supervisors immediately.
Basic use of computer and appropriate software applications.
Prepares reports for guidance of management.
Comply with all HHC, Inc. policies and procedures including Safety rules.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent of 2 years experience in industrial hard chrome plating.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.
