We are actively seeking a Quality Specialist to join our team in Mooresville, NC!
Work Responsibilities:
As the Quality Specialist, you will:
Read and interpret finished product Bills of Materials
Perform audits related to product recertification, inspection procedures, and documentation defined by QA compliance
Record inspection results accurately and legibly
Perform math calculations using decimals and fractions
Compile and distribute weekly and monthly reports on various quality metrics as well as reports on request for various quality issues
Communicate with co-workers and leadership about inspections and results
Serve as subject matter expert for recertification/returns products to provide quality technical support for the facility
Responsible for updating and maintaining product compliance “alerts” in WMS database
Train others on QA standards for recertification/returns products
Support continuous improvement activities
Perform root cause analysis and apply problem solving methods in order to analyze problems and recommend solutions
Facilitate kaizens and other continuous improvement events across functional areas within the facility
Ensure achievement and sustainment of continuous improvement efforts
Make hazard observations and observe unsafe actions; report both using standard procedures
Diverse Skills and Experience That You Will Bring to the Role:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
2+ years of previous experience in quality assurance role desired
Demonstrates strong understanding of personal computers and competence in standard office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Proficient the use of quality reporting software, warehouse management systems, etc.
Ability interpret and explain quality audit reports
Exhibits ability to think creatively to devise the best inventory control practices.
Ability to push, pull and lift up to 70 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend and squat
