Salary range: $94,000 - $104,00

- This is a key technical role responsible for the development, implementation, improvement and continuous reinforcement of established Quality practices
- Create a Quality culture by driving compliance activities.
- Champion the evolution of the quality culture, which includes executing and driving quality objectives, metrics, reporting, and operating mechanisms
- Develop and select methods for analysis, testing and audit.
- Ensure process controls are in place
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality assurance and quality control processes and procedures that ensure our products/projects and services meet customer requirements and specifications
- Participate in cross-functional teams in the investigation and elimination of causes of quality problems and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Oversee and set direction for problem analysis and investigations.
- Use statistical tools to analyze data, make acceptance decisions, and improve process capability (Six Sigma, SPC, DOE)
- Perform root cause analysis (8D, 6M, 3x5 Whys) of identified issues and identify appropriate corrective action.
- Compile and analyze quality system metrics (e.g. management review, compliance metrics, quality assurance and quality control data etc.) in order to ensure key process indicators are identified, measured and action driven.
- Analyze data and identify trends to improve quality and reduce nonconformities
- Eliminate process variation and nonconformities through creative solutions.
- Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including plans, procedures, and work instructions
- Provide training and support to cross functional teams on quality processes and procedures.
- Effectively communicate and present to all levels of personnel from teammates to senior leadership
- Perform benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
- Provide education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives
- Quality engineering activities will include, at a minimum process mapping, data flow, identifying intended use of data, policy and procedural gap assessments
- Ensure quality and regulatory compliance while driving process effectiveness and efficiency
- Utilizes risk management tools and aids for use by the organization in accordance with documented procedures, including but not limited to FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode Analysis, etc.
Basic Requirements:
- Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 10 years of general experience.
- Must have 8 years of experience in a quality engineering position
- Must have 2 years of documented experience in a management or leadership role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to work independently or in a group setting and communicate issues and concerns clearly to all levels of leadership.
- Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering or engineering technology program or related field
- Strong Communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to analyze complex problems.
- ASQ quality certification.
- Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis experience
- Lean Six Sigma experience.
- Certification in ISO 9001 or AS 9100D with practical application experience
- Have experience-using defect tracking tools and engineering tools used to document physical systems.
- Proficiency in PowerBI and/or Matlab.
