The Quality Assurance Supervisor for Barcel USA ensures that the business complies with all relevant quality assurance, food safety standards and regulatory codes. This position is responsible for facilitation, development and implementation of systems to ensure gold standard. The associate will lead with behaviors that promote cultural change through outstanding associate relationships.

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain and update QA Calendar Activities and schedules.
• Oversee all related QA programs for Laboratory practices.
• Maintain and supervise Pre-requisite Program calendar activities, verification and validation.
• Ensure associates have resources and training required by local state and federal agencies.
• Conducts Food Safety, Sanitation, Pest Control, GMP’s, Facility Inspections, Internal Cross Audits.
• Monitors Corrective Actions at facility.
• Facilitates compliance with all QA Programs for the facility to include but not limited to: HACCP, HARPC, GMP’s, MICROBIOLOGY etc.
• Execution Customer Complaints Program
• Monitors and ensure continuous improvement on product quality & quality systems,
• Participates in internal and external food safety, quality and regulatory audits.

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science/ Engineering/ Management. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
• 5+ years in food industry minimum with experience in Food Safety/ Quality Assurance.
• Knowledge of HACCP and auditing experience and certification
• SQF Practitioner, Internal Auditor Certified.
• Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills
• Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office Program (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Must be available for all 3 shifts, when needed
